《唐研究》第23卷編後記
我自1995年以來，受唐研究基金會學術委員會和羅傑偉先生委託，承擔大型學術年刊《唐研究》的編輯工作。二十三年來，可以說恪盡職守，保證了每年按時出版。現在已經出版了23卷，多少爲唐研究做出些許貢獻。
今年夏季，我決定在完成第23卷的編輯出版工作後，辭掉《唐研究》主編一職，把自己的主要精力，放在讀書、研究、考察、寫作上。我出任主編時只有35歲，我相信現在的中青年學者同樣可以承擔《唐研究》主編的重任，把這份刊物繼續辦好。
回顧23年的歷程，我首先要感謝羅傑偉先生，沒有他創辦的唐研究基金會的支持，《唐研究》不可能如此順利地走到今天；我也要感謝唐研究基金會學術委員會各位委員、唐研究基金會各位理事、《唐研究》各位編委和助理編輯的大力支持，他們在學術、道義、資金等方面給予了常年的關懷與支援，也給我的工作提供了非常寬廣的運作空間。我還要特別感謝周邊的年輕朋友，他們有的已經從研究生成長爲大牌教授，但無論何時，只要我招呼他們幫忙，從嚴謹的審稿，到瑣碎的校對，他們都義無反顧，全力以赴。沒有這批朋友，《唐研究》也不會堅持到今天。
爲了給新主編提供運作空間，原編委會至第23卷出版後自動解散。經唐研究基金會與北京大學中國古代史研究中心協商決定，由葉煒教授出任主編。衷心希望大家支持新主編的工作，讓《唐研究》越辦越好。
